As most of Pendrakenland abides in slumber I was transported to the days of my youth by "Let's Do the Time Warp Again" on fsn's magisterial "Pendrakenmas 2016" and I found my thoughts turning - to Meatloaf! As one commenter has recently said - "I don't often play Meatloaf these days but when I do I share it with the neighbors! -YeeHaw!"
So, not wishing to further sully or detract from the tight focus - and I'm going to say it - near sacred nature of fsn's thread,
I present "Paradise by the Dashboard Lights" in best rock-opera style:
There's a track I haven't listened to in a a long while.
"It was long ago and it was far away, And it was so much better than it is today." :)

The Jim Stienman one was "Bad for Good". On the same vein I also liked Bonnie Tyler :P I wonder why :-

The lead gutarist Matt is the partner of Mrs Orcs' boss(For the record her boss is female)

IIRC, it was supposed to be a Meatloaf album, but when he was unable to record it (strained vocal chords possibly) the record company forced Jim to record/release it in his own name!

Any woman who can shoot laser beams out of her ears is surely a keeper :o. ;)

Almost certain you're correct on that, Meirion. :)
There's one
really belting track on that CD...(
IIRC)...I'll try and dig it out this afto'.

Superb artist.
Even makes Celine Dion songs good :D

I think all songs should be given to Meat Loaf first, then passed on to other artists if felt like it. Would cut out the initial faff.

+1 :)
Talking of Bonnie Tyler ...
I love that video, best of the literal interpretations IMO :D
Ok - for another post-midnight foray (and continuing database test)
I visited a tank museum in Danville VA back in the Fall. Enjoyed it but knew near to nothing about what I was looking at.
Did find this remnant of the war we (US) fought with Mars in the early fifties:

There are some more pics of the museum here:

Very nice piccies there, Bill ! 8)
Great stuff. (I don't get the stumpy Martian tripod, though. ;D)
Cheers - Phil.
Great shots!

This made me smile DGuy. My good friend Rob C who passed on last year after battling renal issues for many years was a great Meatloaf fan. His last wish, which was carried out by his remaining family, was to be carried out of the church with "Bat out of Hell" playing LOUDLY :)
I went with Rob to a Meatloaf concert when he played here in NZ a few years ago - say what you may about him as a artist but his final encore was "Bat out of Hell" and man he put 110% effort into performing that. The crowd was pumping after that one 8)
Loved the story, PtheS!
I would probably have enjoyed meeting him.
I agree - Meatloaf is wired for performance, turbocharged :)
Dang!
Just noticed I have several duplicate pics in the tank museum gallery. First time posting a gallery - will need to sort that out sometime.
There are only 3.....I'd have noticed if I hadn't just looked at them as thumbnails. ;)
