Mr Brain is in a right old pickle, this morning and is refusing to engage fully. (No change there, then.)
I think I've worked this out correctly...But would some kind soul confirm I'm right.
If a particular 'gun/rifle' is 880mm long, in real life......and....
A 30mm figure equates to someone 6 feet (182.9 cm) tall.
Scale wise.......What is the 'correct length' of the gun for the 30mm figure.
I make it around 14.5mm.
Yes ?
Thanks - Phil
My math gets it to about the same, 14.43
Thanks muchly, Genom. :-bd :-bd
My maths is usually pretty good....But I was all over the shop, early this morning. X_X
My final check was to measure 880mm against myself..(I'm around 6 foot, as I've said umpteen times before).....that came to "lower groinish level" ;)....Then use a pair of dividers to measure how far the distance was between the base, and the same 'groin point' on a relatively upright (and well made) 30mm figure.
Didn't think I was too far out ! ;)....(At least I hoped that was the case. =))
Thanks, again - Phil.
14.43mm I make it.
On behalf of all of us - KEEP THOSE DIVIDERS AWAY FROM THE TECHNO-GROIN!

...THE TECHNO-GROIN!
Wasn't that something from Wallace & Grommit?

Why - he passed breeding age centuries ago.
Phil - exact measurements are not as important as appearance - if it looks right it is right, even if it's a bit small/large.

That's what I keep saying.

A good one to use on the ladies! :)
I'd say, the scale is around 1/54 or 1/56 for 28mm to the eye level miniatures.
So just divide.
