Title: help needed at the Brandenburg Gate
Post by: Sunray on 12 November 2016, 12:30:48 PM
While I  wait for Phil  to make those first Korean sculpts,  I am scratch building a Brandenburg Gate in 10mm.

A mix of Schreiber Bogen card, metal and plastic card.   The Quadrige chariot I have sourced from Roman 15mm.  Now I need help and 15mm fantasy/classical figure knowledge.  I need a winged figure 15mm passable for the Goddess Victoria

The Soviets also trimmed down the imagery during the Cold War.  My 35mm SLR shots from the west show only the wreath of oakleaves on her spear - the German Eagle and Cross of Iron were not restored until reunification.

Any help greatly appreciated.

James

Maybe if you can get your hands on corvus belli's boudicca, you could use her. Just add wings.

Don't know how easy it is to get though.

Soak figure in Red Bull overnight ?

:-\ :-\ :-\

Seriously,  Its not a bad pose.  I have a 1/72 plastic German eagle from a Matchbox kit -  might clip the wings .

Many thanks

Yeah the pose looks very similar to the statue, just needs two extra horses. That's why i recommended it!
