R.T.F.I
Just wasted two hours of my life by not following one of life's simple plans >:(
Twenty plus 28mm Vikings and Saxons lined up this morning for shield transfer fixing. As always my minis are undercoated in black. Twenty plus shield designs carefully cut out (without losing any digits), 20 plus shield designs peeled off their sticky plastic and fixed onto the shields. Twenty plus shield designs dabbed diligently with a spot or two of water......
First shield design peeled off......
And couldn't be seen due to idiot that fixed them in place not having painted the shields white :'( :'( :'(
READ THE FECKIN INSTRUCTIONS !!!
My sympathies.

READ THE FECKIN INSTRUCTIONS !!!
What - and break the habits of a lifetime......
IanS ;) ;)
Began my morning by reading your tale of woe - hideous!
I join fsn in extending sympathies!
Have you tried viewing them in UV light? :)
That's a rather unfortunate start to a Sunday morning.- my sympathies, as its the sort of thing I would do.
Hugs

Oh dear. Bye bye everybody, bye bye. [in a very resigned Harry Corbett voice]

Sympathies, Nosher.
Cheers - Phil
Oooo, ouch!
That stings...
Sympathies, Nosher but it begs the question - how many of us are "read the instructions" types? I know of so many guys who don't read instructions, thinking "I know better" and its an affront to my manhood to read instructions. Going on experience, I used to wonder if it was only guys who were, shall we say, 'non-academic' but, recently, I came across a guy with a uni degree who constructed a flat pack piece of furniture without reading the instructions and, yes, got it wrong. I would say I'm (mainly) an RTFI type of guy. To the forum, what are you?
After far too many "I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING! *five mins later* I don't know what I'm doing..." moments of disaster, I tend to read the instructions. Usually ;)
Sadly I have no excuse. These weren't the first figures I have ever used LBMS transfers on :-[
In my defence, I had had a night renewing aquaintances with my old friend Captain Morgan the night before which may have had something to do with my error ;)
Every cloud also has a silver lining. My good lady insisted on buying replacement sheets for me and these are already on their way from Gripping Beast :)
