Title: 1/72shieldtransfers
Post by: Husaria on 20 September 2016, 01:27:02 PM
Hi All,
I'm seeking advice on shield transfers, for a planned purchase of 1/72 scale Late Romans.

I've used the 15mm transfers from Veni Vidi Vici, but I'm not aware of any specifically made for 1/72 figures that match the period. There are some very suitable ones designed for 25mm, but would these be too big for the 1/72 scale or can they be made to fit the shields ?  Perhaps someone has experience of trying do something similar ?

Maybe 1/72 (plastic and metal) may be a scale that sits awkwardly between the common ones transfers are designed for.

I appreciate I could hand-paint the shield designs, but I'm not confident my painting skill is up to the task (particularly the late roman period designs )and the time consuming process of doing a few hundred puts me off !

As always, many thanks in advance for any suggestions/advice.
Tim
