Anyone going?
I'll be there unless the NHS wants to adjust my inner workings again.

Jim
Jim,
I will be there.
Our club, Redcar Ironbeards are doing a 28mm ancient battle at the show and hopefully I'll get some time to chat with people
:D :D :D
Hi
I'll be there. We're putting on a 28mm french indo china game on.
Jim
I'll be there helping to run the Falkirk Club's Sharp Practice French & Indian War game. You should come over and roll some dice.
John
Jealous of you guys up north with so many decent shows withing bow range :(
Well the area has been described by the politicians as the "Northern Powerhouse" but I don't think they meant wargaming ;D ;D ;D ;D

I'm in Edinburgh so I get to Claymore, Carronade in Falkirk, Albanich in Dumfries, Skelp in Forfar, Targe in Kirriemuir, Border Reiver in Gateshead, Battleground in Middlesbrough, Vapnartak in York and Phoenix in Cumbria. These are mostly within 2 hours drive but a couple are around 4 hours.
I don't get to the 'big shows' like Salute, Colours, Triples or any of the Partizans. You can see why I don't need to.
I also usually go to Crisis in Antwerp each year (8 times in the last 12 years) so I do get to one 'big show'. Nice beer there.
Just a reminder for folks, we'll need any pre-orders for this one by close of play on Saturday please.

I am also hoping to go :)
Don't know if I am.
I will be there, hopefully.
Its my closest local show.
Was it any good ?.....
No-one's said yet.

Yes, it was. I've been tied up ever since, been to two parties, Sat and Sun, Hospital on Monday, home today.
Might blog something later.
A photo-blog of Border Reiver can be found here:

Thanks to HerkyBird.
Thanks for the link, Jim (and to Herkybird). Loads of photos.
Not that I know anyone down there (or anywhere) however I did recognise one gamer, Slimreidy's "arch-enemy" - his dad(!) (in the Dave Lanchester Books photo).
Thanks for the link, Jim !
Cheers - Phil

That's come out really nicely, Jim ! :o
(Hope that your 'U section' was a success....Doesn't sound much like fun.)
Yes.....Sodium lighting is a right pain. ;)

Speedy recovery! m/
Great pictures Jim (and Herky).
Looks like a good show.
Hope you're on the mend Jim.
Get well soon Jim
That stable has castrated another doggie!
It was great to catch up with you Jim. Thanks for posting the link to Herkybirds report.
We, Redcar Ironbeards, had a good day the only downside is the poor lighting which made taking pictures difficult to get a good colour rendition.
All in all a good show.
The next ones on my calendar are:
Stand To at the National Railway Museum Shildon on Sunday 16th October
Battleground at Stockton on Saturday 26th November

Stand To is the day after one of the Scottish shows so probably won't be there but we do plan to be at Battleground.

Had a shower this morning and changed the dressing. First time I've seen the cut and it's more of an upside down 'T' although the surgeon said he had done a 'U' cut.

Fraid so, at least he didn't say it was a 'Z'.
My Zorro sword only had a small piece of chalk at the tip......Wasn't exactly what you'd call sharp.
(Which breakfast cereal did you have to collect the tokens for, for that ?......Shredded Wheat ?)
Cheers - Phil

Apparently 'Corny Snaps' in the States but probably Corn Flakes in the UK.
If you are chummy with Elvis Costello then you could ask him.
Get well soon Jim

Surgery was on Monday, got home yesterday morning, today, Wednesday I am distinctly more mobile although getting up and down from a soft chair is a bit of a challenge.
Did some MDF Tarting last night and hope to do so again this evening.
