Personal life circumstances are hitting me like a brick to the face at the moment, prompting me to offer up a load of my painted armies - I hate to see them go, but at least they'll get gamed with more...and I need the money :(
There's probably more to come...

Thanks, Nosher mate :)
Family breakup sucks (financially anyway!) :(
So very true. Thank goodness I still have my son here giving me a bit of support.
Beautiful armies :-bd =D> :-bd =D>
Shame your having to let them go but as you say they will be played with by their new owners
I also hope you get good prices for them, they definitely deserve it
What that I had the cash.
Sorry to hear it's all going Pete Tong. Hugs
Thanks fellas...most of these have now gone with the others pending...
Probably going to have to unload more though :(
Hope you don't have to, good luck!

... who can proudly say these are Nick Harwood originals. =P~
All the best, Nick. This, too, will pass.
[Sorry, I'm not bidding - I'm a cheapskate :-[ ]

Thanks, pierre :)
First time I returned home after my divorce, I was shocked at the absence of many little things; that vase which had been on the bookcase for a decade; the pull-out table. I nearly burst into tears when I saw the empty space where the ice-cream maker had been (no, not just because I like ice-cream). She hadn't taken anything that wasn't hers (well, my recording of Turandot, but she returned that with apologies), but that made it worse in some ways, since it emphasised that mine and hers were no longer on the same boat.
In short, I feel for you, mate. Not that it helps much, I know.
I am so sorry.
Thanks, fellas. It's all good - I just need a short-term injection of cash to ease the way to financial separation (another marker in the sand and all that). It's actually proving to be ok and I'm way more resilient than I'd given myself credit for...
So - these are all gone; may well need to shift some more in the next few weeks - and then I should be back on a more even keel - and ready to buy replacement toys :)
Best of luck Nick :)
Wishing you well sir.
Good luck Nik
Good luck Nik,
I'll keep my eyes skinned for those, and try and be a bit quicker of the mark! ;)

WW2 Japanese & USMC up for grabs - these are *beautiful* (if I do say so myself) and it's killing me to unload them :(

No idea...bit weird...they did sell *fast* overnight though!
I'm still torn on selling the next armies...I need the cash badly, but it's *hard* to let the next armies go - mostly because they're the ones I've painted the best (IMNSHO) - so *if* I hit go on the 'sell' button, prices are going to reflect that...
The only consolation to all of this is that over the years I've kept detailed notes as I've built armies - on figures used & quantities - and detailed painting notes...so, if & when life stops hitting me like a brick to the face, I can at least recreate everything I've sold...every cloud & all that..
Anyway - as I said before, likely armies are SYW Austrians and Prussians (although I *might* look at whether I can keep enough units for small battles and still sell viable armies) and then the Pacific stuff...might even get to my ECW as well :(
Watch this space - or email me with an offer that'll convince me...
I hope life at least drops the brick soon
Was around a decade before I got my finances back under control after my wife and I separated.
I trust yours will be sorted considerably sooner Nik.

Missed these myself, too. That's probably because you only edited the first post in this thread. It won't show up as a new post that way. A quick reminder in a new post will fix that.
EDIT: Think (and/or read) before typing!!!

Ah but I also posted a reply that said they were for sale - so that should have showed up...
