Without being an expert, I believe that given the terrain and the element of surprise it permitted, and an entire cupboardful of rifles available, Gary Cooper could have downed the entire attacking force before they'd drawn their revolvers.

Had Coop not been concerned about collateral damage he could of dynamited the train.








I use the American "of" substitution for "have" as a tribute to Kitty's grammatical prowess :-)

I understand. I married a Jersey girl - it was the o to w vowel shift that was part of the attraction.
