Title: Revamps?
Post by: Heedless Horseman on 10 July 2016, 11:43:43 PM
Did I see a lust of WWII armour to be remodelled somewhere...or a list even!   ;D

Thinking about pre 1943 stuff.

:)

Thanks.
B****r! Having got carried away with hacking a Panzer III J down to an F...sawn off and filed down mantlet...(Sore fingers!)...drilled for rod gun, (old barrel snapped!), turret and hull drilled for magnets...(Now very sore fingers!)...and, having ordered several more IIIs and IVs...I should have waited! Panzer III is a nice looking model, (very nice tracks)...BUT maybe a little smaller than I would have liked...and revamps may be a bit larger!
Still, it was fun...if painful!   ;)

Sounds a little like your drill bit is getting a teeny tad blunt HH. (They're sods when they've reached that stage.)
Might be worth investing in a replacement ?

I hardly ever use a pin vise now....I let the Dremel do the work.
I DO get sore fingers from getting friction 'burns' sometimes , though.....For example, if I have to drill into something small, like a head, and have to hold that between the tips of my digits. (Boy, do those get 'warm' !)
Cheers - Phil

Yeah, I decided to fix my Dremel-a-like in a vice & grind the bases of some 10mm minis flat on a sanding wheel.

They do, indeed, get bloody hot...  :o
