Me and my friends, plus a Danish visitor, played the Battle of Tacna in honor of the visit! No video report because more than 50% of the units wre proxies, but still a great game.

Nice report, good to see the embedded anthems too, sir.
Excellent report, Konstantinos. :)

Great stuff there KT. I'm assuming Proxies because they were left over from other projects?
Nope, this time Russians, Ottomans and Union ACW, which are main projects. I just do not have any purposefully build WoP armies. In the future perhaps, but not right now.
My little Orphans stayed at home for this one. The main guns where brought out.
Well I have acquired some from Pendraken for this project, and I can assure you they are well worth it.
Great report KT. Particularly informative regarding the use of BBB rules. I also liked the three national anthems. Was particular partial to the Bolivian.
Alas for the poor Allies. I don't know if it's realistically possible for them to win the scenario. Maybe the victory conditions need tweaking so it depends how long it takes the Chileans to take all the objectives?
But many thanks for a very nice AAR.

Bloody Big BATTLES!

I actually believe they can win. My main issue was very bad artillery rolls in the first two turns, that permitted the Chileans to come close. Also I did not use well my Allied "elite" units. A good mobile reserve of the three "elite" and doubled units in the main rifle pits (i.e two lines instead of one unit in depth) should give a good chance of stymieing the Chileans to a draw or defeat.
