Except it has Will Smith in it  :(

He hasn't made a good film since ... um ... well there was ... Hitchcock...  ... no that was awful ... ah, what about Men in Black? Actually, that was overrated, but then there were the dratted sequels,  ... so ... Wild Wild West .. no that made me puke.  Oh dear Dark Lord, then there was After Earth when he got his child involved in his shenanigans, but I will never, never, never forgive him for completely mucking up I Am Legend.

No surprise, I'm sure, if I say I enjoyed all of those :D

It wouldn't do for us all to be the same. I realise that I am, in a lack of adoration of Will Smith, as with so many things, in a minority. I started disliking Will Smith in Fresh Prince - I was much more a Carlton fan.

I will probably go and see Suicide Squad. I didn't go and see Batman vs Superman. Suicide Squad looks like a bit of a different take on the superhero film - like Deadpool (which was brilliant). Generally, though the superhero film genre is now overstuffed and IMHO needs to have a rest.

I liked the character he played in "Independence Day".  :)

Mind you....That's my sort of 'fillum'.....A switch your brain off, and don't worry about the plot.  :D
I'm looking forward to the sequel....Though I'll probably wait for the DVD to be in the bargain bin at Tesco's sometime in the future.  :D

Cheers - Phil

I've done one of those online survey thingys on the trailer and said that I quite like the dry humour -such as could be heard in the short space of time. The last time I went was to see The Battle of the Five Armies, so you couldn't really call me a regular cinema goer.

What, even Wild, Wild West? I thought that was one of the worst films I've ever seen.

Yes, even Wild, Wild West, though I have to admit that I was watching it while not entirely sober and at the end of a day of playing Once Upon A Time In The West which may have influenced my opinion!

I don't mind Will Smith really, Pursuit of Happyness was really good, I enjoyed I Am Legend (not knowing the original/novel) and Enemy of the State was excellent.  I'm not so keen on this new one though, as it feels more like he's jumped on the superhero bandwagon rather than being the right person for the job.  I could be proved wrong though, so I'll find out when it finally comes on Sky.

Deadpool is fantastic, one of the best films I've seen in a long time.
