Post by: Druzhina on 16 June 2016, 05:54:22 AM
Roman, Dacian and Bastarnian warriors on the Adamklissi Friezes, Tropaeum Traiani, Romania, 108-109AD (http://www.warfare.altervista.org/Ancient/Adamklissi_friezes.htm)
including A Roman Legionary with laminated arm armour and greaves fighting a Dacian with falx on an Adamklissi frieze (http://www.warfare.altervista.org/Ancient/Adamklissi_frieze-36.htm)
These were put up by the army rather than the rulers in Rome.
