Glad to see there is still 'a few' about.
Great video - thanks!
Wow, thanks for that as I hadn't seen it. The hairs on my arms stood on end at times. Simple superb :).
We used to live to the West of Cambridge and for the Duxford Airshow, they would use the local secondary school as a forming up point for the planes. One perfect Summers day we sat in the garden and watched a Spitfire and Me109 have a 'dog fight' whilst they waited their turn. Not only was the sound of the Merlin engine sublime, but they were in and out of cotton wool clouds for a few minutes. Simply sublime!
The sound is great, also !
( the volume was quiet high on my computer, I loved it ! )
:D
Wonderful - goose pimples every time I hear that merlin engine.
One almost caused me to crash a car. Doing illegal speeds near Duxford and saw a Spit at 12 O'clock high, somewhat unexpected at the time.

Now that's beautiful.
That was great! Loved it! Especially as I am currently reading Alfred Price's
Battle of Britain: The Hardest Day, 18 August 1940. A few years ago, at a time when I was unemployed, I went for a solo game of golf on a course close to the Rolls Royce, Hillington factory in Glasgow. Half way up the first fairway, a Spitfire appeared overhead and started an aerobatic display directly above the course! (the display was for the entertainment of the RR employees - the golf course was probably chosen because it was not a built-up area should there be any 'mishap'). Naturally, golf became a secondary consideration and I had to stop and admire the show. What a display. Being about the only guy on the course, it felt as if I was being given my own personal display (certainly helped the morale, no end!).
However, whilst that was a superb experience for me, what about the follow-up video to the one posted by FK ......? This is amazing!
:o
Yikes! :o ;D
I remember seeing that episode years ago. What gets me though is the still photo at the end that shows just how low he was flying :o :o :o
Very impressive....
The sigh of the Merlin.....is two better than one?

Got to see this Mosquito flying at Wings over Wairarapa 2013 before it left for the USA. It was restored from the ground up in NZ from bits of several Mossies originally found in Canada. They had to basically rebuild the entire thing from scratch as the wooden parts were too rotten to use.
magic!! ;) and yes I did get the $30 t-shirt :o
