Been following development of this one looks intriguing.
There's also a Dunkirk film in production

With the possible exception of Harry Styles, "Dunkirk" has an impressive cast list.

Looking forward to both.

Dave's been following updates on the Dunkirk film, and this one could be good as well.

Good old Richard Todd.  Although not directly involved in the initial assault on the bridge, as a captain in the 7th Parachute Battalion that reinforced and helped defend the bridgehead until Lovat arrived, I thought his performance as Major John Howard in the The Longest Day was additionally credible (another great fact about the 7th was that they were led by a Lt. Colonel Pine-Coffin who was known as "Wooden Box" by his men!).

P.S. Sorry. It appears he was a Lieutenant. For an account of his experience on D-Day see this link.

There is a scene in the Longest Day where Howard can be seen talking to a para officer - Todd claimed during filming he was literally talking to himself!
