Title: An unexpected birthday present...
Post by: Count Belisarius on 24 May 2016, 05:45:20 PM
I have long admired the LoA range and was recently offered a load of 'spares' which I collected at Partizan last Sunday. As Sunday was also my birthday I missed the significance of the pointed 'Happy Birthday' when the tub of figures was handed over. It was only yesterday after a few pointed comments that I realised I needed to dig deeper in the box and uncovered these!

The painter (Iain Burt aka Essex Boy) has done a most excellent job on these and it's going to be nightmare painting anything to come anywhere close to matching them!!

Either way, Iain's work deserves a little exposure!

Yes, our EB is certainly no slouch when it comes to brushwork. Lovely looking chaps and no mistake. Good luck with the style matching.

I feel a new career awaits.
I take that as encouragement! I shall apply for the position on MaƮtre d'Piscine at the local swimming pool after all!

Those are quite amazing! I had to check the catalogue to make sure they were Pendraken 10mm figures, and not Clib's 28mm sculpts for someone else.   Truly, truly, awesome!  :o :o :o =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> :-bd

Lucky man. Birthdays aren't very big out here, so I usually need to tell my woman what I'm buying myself as her present to me.

Simply superb 8). Somewhat daunting to get the rest of the figures to match these. I couldn't do it!
