So it's Carronade 2016 in Falkirk this weekend, any interest in doing as others have done and stepping out from behind our forum monikers for a group meet/ photo?
Midday in the vicinity of the Pendraken stand seems to have been popular option elsewhere.
Carnation buttonholes, rolled copies of The Times and zither music optional :)
Any takers?

I'm game if first of all the forum members buy something (everything) from my charity stall then I'll be free to be a normal wargamer again.
Jim
I'll be there. Never been able to make it to Falkirk in previous years and, besides, I have a Pendraken order to pick up(!). Only problem is I don't yet know when I'll be there (I tend to go at my own pace) but being closer it should be much easier than York (when I was held up by traffic and missed the 12.00 rendezvous). Going over to Arran over the next few days but I'll log-in on Friday to see if a specific time is agreed upon.
Sounds good to me, there's usually a bit of space at the front of our stand at Falkirk, so should be room to mingle!
I will be kicking about directing people at the beginning of the day no doubt, I may even pluck up the gumption to actually say hi this year. I'm always conscious of the fact that although I may want to stop and chat to people, that they've got a business to run on the day and I may just be getting the way of that.
I'll be there running a game but won't be able to get away as I am on my own. It's Monty's Wargaming World/TooFatLardies if anyone wants to stop by.
Kind regards,
Richard
Can't make it myself, but it will be interesting to see a photo so I can put faces to the Scots members of the Forum. Already met Jim at York.
I hope its a successful and good show, and that those popping along have a good time!
And if anyone would like to continue the trend that's been occurring at several recent shows ...
... If someone (or more) could pop along to the Colonel Bills stall and ask for Roy, that would really make me giggle =O
Can't make it myself, but it would be great to see and hear about the show - Kudos to anyone who photographs the Colonel Bills lads. I won't ask for photo's of Leon Pendraken, as he seemingly gets grumpy when he's caught on camera ;)
I'll lurk around the Pendraken stand at midday. If others can make it that will be great, if not I'll happily spend a while people watching and/or fattening Leon and Dave's bank balances depending how spending has gone to that point.
To aid those who are turning up, and also those wanting enough warning to dive under a nearby stall to avoid me, I attach a photo. No guarantee I'll have the owl though.
Roy and Richard, I will hunt you down ... err, make my way to the appropriate stand and say hello. :)
Didn't make it to the show today due to illness. Immensely disappointed. :(
Leon, if you read this, my apologies for not showing up to collect my order. Will contact you shortly.
Hope everyone else who made it had a great time. :-bd
Photos are up on the Pendraken and Minibits Facebook pages ... As usual, its a game of 'Where's Leon?' ;D
Nice shot of the Westerhope club's Assaye game in the photo - though I'd like to see some close-ups, please ;)
Hope it is nothing too unpleasant Westmarcher

Thanks and hopefully just a 24 / 48 hour thing, Roy. Some vile bug involving lots of vomiting, feeling dizzy and as weak as a kitten. :-&
Ooooh! Nasty!
Get well soon Fellah!
Sorry not to see you there Westmarcher - hope you feel better soon.
I had a great time, spent less than I expected, talked to more people than I expected, added several items to my "to buy in the future" list.
Only downside for me was taking the best part of a hundred photo's only to find when I got home that the memory card was corrupted and all of the files are shambled :(
Try a Windows disc repair, it might work!
Thanks Jim.
I've got a couple of file recovery tools and have used them but the photo's are interesting shades of pink and/or purple with solid bars of blue or green or yellow through them at random heights, spotted with random blobs of black. Looked through what I'd taken before lunch and they looked fine at lunchtime but sometime between then and now gremlins clearly got in. New card loaded into camera and tested - all OK. Old card about to be ceremonially executed :)
That's rough, Mike. :(
Hope everyone had a good time.
Westie.....Hope you feel better really quickly.
Cheers - Phil
Get well soon Westie, good you didn't make it to the show to pass whatever it is on
Commiserations on the lost pictures Ithoriel
Just seen some photos of the games at the show ... Wow!
Great to see everyone today, shame you couldn't make it Westmarcher. We'll get that order posted out to you instead. There were some excellent games on show as well, I'll have a dig about and see if I can find any pics online.

Thanks for putting those links up, Roy. :)
Some very splendid piccies.
Cheers - Phil
Seconded :)
Grateful for the photo links, Roy. Some really cracking looking games there which would have been great to see in person. Going by the comments and attendance by wargaming luminaries such as Charles Grant and Charlie Wesencraft, it's obviously a really popular show so sorry to miss it yet again. D'oh!
[thanks to all well-wishers - the wee lassie doctor says I've got some sort of gastric flu which I can look forward to enjoying for the next 10 days or so. Bugger! Great weather here in Scotland this week, too, and I have a dozen outdoor jobs I could be getting on with! >:(
Going by all the pics it looks like the show was a success. Westmarcher, it's good to know what you've got but it's not good to know what you've got...if you know what I mean. Speedy recovery.
