May Day - isn't it about singing The Internationale?

The people's flag is deepest pink,
It's not the colour that you think!
Though the Blairites stand and cheer,
Labour government? No fear!

Our Opposition target's clear,
We'll have no Corbynistas here!
But, just to show that we're sincere,
We'll sing The Red Flag once a year!

Above NOT to be taken too seriously!

Bank Holiday tomorrow for us in the UK. So even more time to procrastinate rather than get on with my projects....

Assuming you've made the usual mistake (and haven't we all at one time or another) it would be - left foot back - duck - side step right - count 1 - 2 - right foot back - duck again and you should be free.

Unfortunately, I've run out of ducks.

It's well known that all avian species have extreme difficulty surviving the atmosphere in Runcorn.

Hmmmm - I'd forgotten about the traditional dinner :-\
Are there swans near to hand? A swan dive might (and I hasten to say - might ) work as a substitute.

For the sake of pedantry the Internationale and The Red Flag are two different songs.

Also random fact, the tune to the Red Flag is not only Tannenbaum but the tune to the Maryland State Hymn/song.

Insofar as the Moore attempts can be called Bond movies at all.

Will set up the podium on the table in the morning for Army of Workers and Peasants to parade past whilst the Politburo take the salute!

What should it be? - A lay in bed and a slow start
what is it really? - Well it's already 6 AM, so 'Nuff said

What should it be? - A day of just doing what I want - erm I mean what the family wants
what is it really? - clearing out bedroom 2 and repairing the wall ready for the plasterer

What should it be? - a fun day out on a packed motorway, sitting in a 10 mile tail-back
what is it really? - A shoot to the local DIY, a quick Costa and back home for that bedroom project

My secret plan to rescue something of the day - while at the DIY store pick up some Ronseal wood filler and explore the tip that I read on the Kallistra web site yesterday that it makes a good basing material ....... And then start some rebasing ........ I think I'd rather do bedroom 2 !

Anyway, already looking forward to the next Bank Holiday (end of May). :-)

A day pushing putty around, methinks.

No change there then Phil. I'd have thought dog walking or mucking out horses.

Have fun.

Walk the dogs, Ian ?

Nah.....Just open the back door and tell them to go and run around the fields....(As if they needed telling.... ;D ;D ;D ;D)....All I have to do is try and stop the 'puppy' from herding the sheep.
Mr Back has been whinging a tad recently...So I'm excused poop clearing.  :)

Cheers - Phil

Well I went for the lazy start, just had breakfast at 10.

The Ronseal wood fillermakes very good bases. I've used it on WWI and WWII figures and Lizardmen. You can just put a layer of it on the base, then push the figures in. Then use a cocktail stick to push a little over the edges of the figure's base. It does take quite a while to dry.

Lazy start, still in jim-jams, but will shortly dress, tidy kitchen while it rains. Then later, when it dries up, do my monthly delivery of a local trading mag.

How well does the ronseal wood filler last once opened...

Also, in May Day tradition, have some music!

Pretty well, you can also add a bit more water to it if it starts to dry up a bit.
