Another shame, I used to like Blake & 7 despite the dodgy sets. It was the only show that made the characters wobble a bit when they transported due to different height levels and adjustments.

Great shame, again.  :(

I heard, (MANY years ago) that a whole episode of Blake's 7 cost far less to make that a 5 minute section of the original Star Trek.

Well it showed. You could almost see the strings on the Liberator.

I liked the fact that the crew were disunited, venous, lazy, untrustworthy, and selfish.

I draw no comparisons with this Forum.

By a strange co-incidence, I understand that the actor who played Gan (David Jackson) also died at age 71 from a heart related condition.

I lost interest once they got rid of the Liberator which, to be honest, was the least wooden of the actors.

Worst TV final episode until the writers of a US soap had a dam burst and drown all of the characters.

Best life-on-a-spaceship TV program until Firefly.

Best TV sci-fi program of it's time.

RIP Gareth.

Never watched Blake's 7 but remember him from Children of the Stones.

Time to dig out the DVD from the pile

I loved Blake's 7 (and still do), but watched an episode on DVD - Cally's first appearance - and the gun she was carrying was so cheap and just plain silly I decided it was best in the memory...

Sad news

Many years ago I was at a fencing competition in Australia and the Chinese team were staying in the same accomodation. One evening we were watching an Australian period drama on TV, as it finished one of the Chinese team asked what was on next...

The answer was Blake's 7

But how do you explain that when your only common language is a few words of fencing french :o
I was well beyond my miming skills ;D
