Title: A true story in the Orcs House.
Post by: Orcs on 11 April 2016, 02:25:31 PM
Mrs Orcs is currently writing training material for a 2 day Volkswagen Group convention

Part of this is to extol the virtues of original spare parts to the independent dealerships.

One of the exercise's required 5 fictitious dealerships.  Mrs Orcs had come up with 4 names and asked me to help with the fifth.

Orcs : How about "Goebbels Servicing, Herman Goering Cars"

Mrs Orcs:  They sound very German

Orcs: (trying desperately not to laugh) "It is a German company after all"

Mrs Orcs " Yes I suppose so" Whick one do you think is best?

Orcs: Actually a better one might be Von Manstiens Vehicle Division" ( Orcs is now visibly squirming in an effort not to wet himself laughing)

Mrs Orcs " I think I prefer the first one "  Pause while Mrs Orcs updates her notes.  " What on earth is the matter with you? (Orcs is now crying with  laughter).

Mrs Orcs (Now highly suspicious)Where did you get these names ?

Orcs:  Gives full explanation between laughs

Mrs Orcs :  HMMPPPHHH!!!!!  I think you need to go and make me a tea- you could have caused a diplomatic incident. (Orcs retreats to Kitchen still sniggering)

Mrs Orcs insists that I sleep in our room. She does not like the idea of us sleeping in separate rooms no matter how cross we are with each other.

I'd have gone for "Kubel Kars".

What was that quote Clarkson said a few years back, when describing German auto mobile efficiency?

"Berlin to Warsaw in one tank!"

You've got to give it to him, mind. It is a catchy ad' line.

That was the VW ad the TG boys came up with in one segment.  Complete with panicking Polish people.

Apparently it wasn't popular...

I see Ken Livingstone may shortly be available as a German PR man.
