Yes you have, but its nowhere near as weird as the Pendraken Forum :)
Hey d Guy, you mentioned bagpipes. Have you listened to a group called Saor Patrol. Rock group with one piper, 1 drummer and a couple of guitars. Stompin' stuff if you like stompin' stuff that is..

Thanks! I had not heard them before - amp pickups on each drone and a mic on the chanter! Bitch'n! A while back someone here put up a link to a guy who shoots flames out of his drones - this is why I like this forum - and YouTube! Just put a Saor Patrol in my panting music playlist.

Oh fear not, FK, I have a life (but I appreciate your concern). It just amused me to give you a tiny distorted glimpse of it. A bit of maskirovka, if you will. ;)
Though I am enjoying this Picon right now. A kind of legacy of the French invasion of Algeria in 1837, apparently.
Chris
I fondly remember a time when a friend of mine was creating an early Norman army. I'm not sure of the figures he was using, but he was a whizz with the brush - much better that I could ever hope to be, and this was in the days of enamel paints. Anyway, he'd put together this army, and was using a personality figure to pad out his heavy cavalry. He'd got from somewhere or another a bag of these figures and tweaked some of them just enough so that they looked that little bit different from each other. I think he was using one of the DBA variants, and had over stocked on the early Norman command for his army list.
He presented me with this beautifully painted and based figure.
Yes, he gave me his last Rollo.
Is this what we are talking about - I get so confused sometimes.

Anyone see the Rollo and Ragnar mash up in Vikings? I like that, and the use of the unholy crossbow, but I'm certain Rollo and Ragnar were not contemporaries. The Vikings still haven't worked out what a helmet is for.

I was tempted never to post again and just leave the 666th post as a mysterious memorial.
Then an upside down policemen, fireman and paramedic came round and beat me up so I changed my mind.
This is Chakri Day over here, a public holiday (on my day off, confound it); Chakri being the name of the royal family. As devoted royalists, we are celebrating with poulet Bearnaise, carrotes Vichy, potato and zucchine fritters, a simple green salad, mangoes, durian, and brandy snaps.
I like food, in short.

You say yiou found them on You Tube, if you download Spotify -the free version like wot I has- there are several of their lp's/cd's (whatever they are called now) on there. Plus a great deal of other really decent music.
There is a video on you tube featuring a lone piper playing AC/DC's Thunderstruck with flame throwing bag pipes unfortunately I can't figure out how to attach it :o
This it?

Japanese chess. Whoooeee, the feeling of letting the opposition get your rook and your bishop, then gently putting a gold onto the board with a discreet but very clear clack and quietly saying "mate".
Quietly saying, "Mate, it's your round."
