Title: Anubis Troops
Post by: fred. on 13 September 2010, 09:45:04 PM
I've made a start on a pack of Anubis troops from the fantasy eygyptian range

A couple of WIP shots at the end of this web album

I've gone for a classical Egyptian look

these are currently only block painted but hopefully you can get a feel for the colour scheme

Good stuff, I like seeing pics of stuff we don't normally see.

Cheers Leon. These are some really novel figures, which should look good in the dungeon.

Thanks.

I've just looked at my photos on a real computer (rather than an iPhone) and they are really bad (taken on said iPhone in fairly harsh light). I'll get these finished today and try to get some much better photos.

Got these finished up, still only an iPhone photo - but better lighting and cropping  ;)

Anubis troops on the LHS, then Pharaohs tomb guard, mummies and some more Pharaohs  tomb guard all set off in a dungeon section.

Don't fight it Nosher you know you need a dungeon.

A 10mm dungeon is small and compact, nearly pocket sized, so it is easy to store. Well at least to start with, once you add a few expansions you may need a bit more space..

Did you not get the August newsletter?

QuoteThe new Dungeon Packs have proved popular as well, with 15 Dungeons being sent out so far.  If you've already got yours, any feedback would be great, and can be left here.  If you haven't got one, then you might be interested to know that recent studies have shown that Dungeon owners are 22% more likely to win the Lottery....

I totally agree with the guys here: 10mm is a revolution for the old 28mm player I am.
The fact it is compact is really nice for both storage and transport. The rules are a perfect match to this philosophy and I honestly didn't see any drawback as even the painting of the (wonderfully detailed) mini is surprisingly easy !
Plus, the huge range of Pendraken allows you to build virtually any quest ! (this is also a huge plus for the old role player I am :) )

(Now give me my money guys !)
