So....The 'fifth Beatle' has passed away at 90.
(I must admit, I thought he'd died a while ago.)
Still......A great shame, as he appears to have been very influential in helping that little known 'beat combo'. :(
Cheers - Phil
Bugger :(
Sad news. He was a talented individual indeed and one wonders how far the Beatles would have got without his influence. Not wishing to sound irreverent but 'good' news, too in a way, because like Phil, I thought he was already dead :-[ (perhaps we were thinking of Epstein) and age 90 is a good innings (unlike many of the recent celebrities who seem to have died prematurely).
90. Amazing since in every film shot of him he is smoking. A great talent.
Jebus, I nearly passed over myself then - thought it was George
* R.R. *
Martin!
Sad for the Fifth Beatle and his folks though, but 90 - good innings!

Pretty sure it must have been Epstein (Leggy Mountbatten, in 'The Rutles' )I was thinking of too, Westie......

Glad I'm not the only one to think GoT before The Beatles!
90 may be a good innings .... but it feels disturbingly closer than it used to!
I thought it was Pete Best.

Golly - me too! George Martin had at least FINISHED his masterworks. Right about the 90 too.
