Over the past 18 months I have been using self adhesive tufts etc more and more to spruce up my bases. I'd been buying from an ebay supplier Tajima1 who seemed to be turning out excellent quality product.
However, at Warfare in November I found a trader with a large selection of tufts in different colours and sizes at much cheaper sizes and I bought a selection of bits. At first I was quite happy but as time progressed the self-adhesive started to lose it's stick. Three months on and it has disappeared completely! I am now having to use superglue to attach each tuft to the bases.
I still have some of the stuff I bought on Ebay over 9 months ago, and it's still sticking itself very securely, so perhaps you do get what you pay for!
I've always glued mine, but I use Antiochus (sic) Workshop.

Something like that, can never ever spell it, which makes Googleing them nigh on impossible!

;D ;D ;D
I used to glue, but got a pack of the GW ones from the local hobby/model shop and was surprised to find they're self adhesive - sooooo much easier! Will be annoyed if they lose their stick :S
:-\
Certainly not my 'field', but I would have thought a minute drop of ultra thin 'super glue' would be the stuff to use, even with self adhesive ones ?
(I think I've only used tufts on a couple of bases.....Then I did swapsies with Lemmy.......So I don't think I've got any left now.)
Were those self adhesive, Will ?......I can't remember.
Cheers - Phil
Yours were/are slightly sticky
So not about merkins then?
I use miniNatur tufts and am near completing my massive "dress-the-bases" project. On the first batch the tufts seemed to stick well but after flocking and sitting a day the did not survive first contact with my trimming shears - had to go back and redo. Now dip the bottom (of the tuft!)
In white glue - this seems to work well.
