Title: Pendraken's Most Ubiquitous Range?
Post by: GrumpyOldMan on 03 March 2016, 05:03:08 AM
Hello

I was going through some of the NWF Afghan tribesmen http://www.pendraken.co.uk/Colonial-c16/1890s-North-West-Frontier-sc99/ (http://www.pendraken.co.uk/Colonial-c16/1890s-North-West-Frontier-sc99/) and I though that this could probably the most ubiquitous range within the Pendraken panoply. I mean the figures could be used for most generic Moslem/Arab armies from the 16th century right up to current conflicts.

I was putting together some early 20C Malay/Indian pirates from the packs and I was thinking that I could use these troops for the Battle of Ksar El Kebir in 1578 almost without any reworking.

Does anybody have any favourite ranges that can be used to cover multiple armies?

Cheers

Current? With shields?

I suppose if you view all foreigners through Hollywood eyes, they do all look the same.

Would some of the light infantry in tunics (slingers? - don't know which) from the ancients do for 400BC to possibly early Medieval?
