Hi all,
Well my last post I had prepped and readied some light infantry. Militia and cavalry. And for Paulr my Kiwi mate :D, I am human and life sometimes takes over. The weather turned nasty and was away two days longer thanks to snow and ice rain. So all I managed to get finished this weekend was the cavalry. I end up doing the 16th Light Dragoons mounted. I wanted to finish them in time for the painting comp which I think had to be by Monday.
Oh and I went back and touched up all the previous work with some minor detailing.

Oh and I found some flags which I just printed and then reduced to scale. Not great but look better than bare poles.

So enjoy. And as always comments welcome.
Cheers,

:-h from down under ;)
Here it's been too hot to paint :(
Superb work 8). The tones on the horses work really well.
Those are beautiful!
Thanks, appreciate the kind remarks.
Paulr, I read your forum post on your AWI project, I think there were like 50 pages of comments, and yes I read every single one. Not much else when away and all you have is an IPad.... It was excellent and I was very impressed by your work, dedication to getting the job done. I am using it now as the guide to building my AWI British, although cant remember ifyou had hessians..? :-\ Anyway, I thought it was an excellent project, not bad for a Kiwi! So north or South Isle? I have been to Wellington, Auckland, Paihia (Bay of Islands), Takahue, I have climbed the Three Kings in Waiouru from every direction.... ;)
Cheer!
Thanks Obsidian
I have a couple of units of Hessians, von Bose and Jagers
I'm just north of Wellington, you've visited some interesting places including some I haven't been to. Reminds me of an internal tourism slogan, "Don't leave home till you've seen the country"
OK so in my 4 hours and 40 minutes I didn't get the unit finished. :'(
I did manage to plant them and do the basics of the bases. So I painted 3 bases of lights, one for each Regt, 1 unit of Grenadiers for the new Regt and 2 stands including the command for the new Regt which I have done as the 27th Inniskilling. So tomorrow I will do the basing and get started on those militia.
