Title: My first 10mm painting
Post by: Obsidian23 on 15 February 2016, 12:03:36 AM
Hi all so I just joined the forum recently as I have got a hankering to get into 10mm after seeing some really nice figures and the thought of having hundreds of figures on the table.

So to get it rolling I did these today as a test.

Comments, criticisms, recommendations advice etc etc etc :'( :'(. Most welcome :D

These look pretty good to me, very neat and nicely finished.

How long did it take you to do these?

Excellent work!  They look very good.  You've clearly taken to 10mm painting effortlessly.   :)

Hi guys,

Many thanks for the replies.

There are 35 figures, not based to any rule set but most I had seen had 6 figures and 3 for skirmishers.  I figured I would get away this.

I did these today.  Just painting, not cleaning up a little mounting and base coating.  Did that on a week night last week so I could just paint today.

Looking forward to when I can get some of the Pendraken figures in May on my trip to the UK.
Cheers.

Scott

 :-bd =D> :-bd

35 figures, painting and basing done in a day :o That is amazingly fast =D> =D>

The only tip I can offer is to over expose them when photographing them on white paper

Thx again.  :-[

Paulr, yep photo booth is my next build!  :D

I'm told I am pretty fast and I do good work.  I pained 210 Inf, 36 cavalry, 2 canon and 6 command figs in 28mm in 32 days.

10mm should be a breeze, best part was I really enjoyed it.  Looking forward to finishing the 450 figures I have.

Quick question witch I hope someone can answer, how many 10mm figs to a unit?  I did 35, the mounted commander took two slots.  I have uneven base number, I will do a grenadier base of six I think.

Cheers.

Pick your rules, most of us go with a mix of 'what looks good' and 'what can we afford'!

Just once would someone put something on the forum and say "oh it's not that good" and it isn't?

These are terrific work.

I may have to hate you.

Yes. I will be entering a joker into the pack.

Just waiting for the right light and humidity to paint the eyebrows.

(And if you believe that, would you be interested in buying the old Runcorn bridge?)
