Title: 10mm Trains at Asda
Post by: Shedman on 14 February 2016, 06:30:39 PM
A bit of a find in Asda today - 10mm trains for £2.50! The engine needs a bit of work to remove the go-fast wheels and the whole thing needs a paintjob but i'm not complaining. I think there are 4 different engine types - I went for the one that matches a photo I have of the Antung-Mukden Light railway 1907

I got two of the the sets. They're sort of train-y. I have absolutely no idea what period they are, but I'll use them for 1930 onwards.

Thanks Shedman.

Been tempted by those for a while! I'd want them for AVBCW though and none of them really felt right...

The airplane/chopper models in their Skymasters range (or something like that) are handy as well - scale is "what ever fits the card" but seems to range from @1/600 for the Superfortress to @1/200 ish for the Chinook, about 1/144 ish for the Huey if it ever appears again...
