Happy Friday chaps!
Does anyone have a copy of the original Volley and Bayonet rules? It has a most useful map of the Saint Privat scenario. I could do with it for next week's game.
Yours hopefully

PM your address Will and I will photocopy and despatch. Nothing like a nice bit of FPW action to set the blood racing. Scanner not available.
Absolutely, my friends 13 year-old son is going to be studying the FPW next year, so why not start with one of the best?
Thank you Leman. :D
Funnily enough Dave Fielder and I should be playing this game next week, all being well. Very interesting to compare the maps from BBB, Bruce Weigle's 1870 and V&B. All slightly different but will study them more closely this weekend.
It's just the V&B one is a useful scaling on a 6x4' table.
Drat! That moment when you realise the Saxon's expanded their forces between 1866 and 1870! Four infantry regiments short... :o Proxy time!
Do you think anyone will notice my Saxon's are pale blue? ;) and the Guard are a completely different corps? Might blu-tak labels for this game! :)
At least VI corps French is complete... ;)

You will! ;D ;D ;D
Mollinary
Just notifying you now before you black-ball me for fielding the wrong troops! ;D
Here's the next step in my plan:
I have French VI corps, they will receive their full orbat with their briefing.
The Germans, I can't face relabelling two corps of troops for a night (now I see the error of my basing system), so they will receive an orbat that looks like this:
1st Division Guards
Divisional commander X11
Guard infantry units x4
Jäger X 1
Field Artillery x1
Heavy Artillery x1
Uhlans x1
The Prussian and Saxon players can then sort figures accordingly!
Got to be easier...
And no, I'm not painting two Corps by Thursday! :P
