Our talented modellers have been busily working on some more revamped vehicles for our WWII range, so here's a few quick sneaky pics to whet the appetite! (I know Mart's put some pics of these up previously, but it's always worth another look!) We'll be getting these moulded up asap and we'll let everyone know when they become available.
After we got the Humber LRC modelled we quickly realised that our original Humber A/C was a little small! So, we've now got this revamped version, complete with Mk II and Mk III turrets.

Tiger I with zimmerit, in both early and late variants:

Sturmtiger:

And then this little selection, I'll leave it open to everyone to identify these ones!

Is this a Ram I see before me? Oh, frabjous day, calllum callay!
And, also, oh, bugger, there goes the last shred of determination to do me own...
p.s. I'll have an Achilles too, please...
But on a less joyous note, I have a revamped Tigger, and the tracks (not the wheels, just the tracks) are a bit... well, overstated... vast, foot thick things with excessively exaggerated tread (or whatever it's called on tracks). Otherwise lovely...
So from the top I'm thinking, M10 Achilles, M10 Wolverine (I'll have one of those for my Soviet forces), M3 Lee ... but what's the bottom one?
Ram it Ithoriel.
sorry... Ram II... :D
Thanks Wulf, not a tank that I'm familiar with, though I did go look it up after you mentioned it recently so have no excuse for not recognising it!
Lets hope it sees more action on the tabletop than it did irl :)
Well, in real life it trained a lot of troops then equipped the post war Netherlands, but, yes, not an illustrious career in terms of battle honours...
hmm... I see this one has no stowage box on the back of the turret. That seems common from pics. I'll have to make me mid up whether to go historic or cut up a little box for myself...
[Next stop... the Sentinel...]
Your Humber III looks to have a 37mm rather than a besa to me making it a mark IV but does not have the revised stowage arrangement on the right side of that version.

Top one is the M36 Jackson not Achilles
Some nice new additions. I really must get my WWII kit out again as I've been playing so much BP era games of late.

Is that because you didn't know?
I'm an absolute sucker for small armour.
And Large armour.
All very useful.

I was thinking that, on consideration. Wrong turret bustle/counterweight, no muzzle brake. Hopefully an Achilles to follow.

Ah well, in my defence, I don't tend to pay too much attention to the side-shows in Africa and NW Europe, preferring to concentrate on the important theatres of the war :)

A Ram is a great little tank for its tier. Better protected than the M4. Lots of great counterfactual war and post war potential. See my thread in the rules section.
Can we get a please get the long barrel 6pdr version ?
I think that IS the 6 pounder version. That's as long as it gets.
World of Tanks guns show extreme degrees of compensating for something on virtually every tank, but the Ram is secure in it's own barrel length...

The late Mk II had no auxiliary turret, WSS suspension and the longer version of the 6pdr with a muzzle break.
I think the side sponson doors also went. In short, too many modifications, so it looks like we are stuck with the early version.
Which is probably fair enough for an AFV that never fired a shot in anger.

Early production had the mk III at 43 calibres late the mk V at 50 so 2.66mm longer scaled down.
Ah, I wasn't aware there was a notable length difference, although I should have remembered the muzzle brake! But the hull differences would make this a whole different mini.

No worries mate. Will the new Ram be compatible with the Kangaroo ? ;D I have just read what I have written.
The answer is yes, 'cause they are both herbivores .
Seriously - in terms of hull and size - will they blend?
Exactly what I came here to ask. The existing Kangaroo is nice, but the suspension details are lacking, and it would make sense to get the two based on an identical hull. With, hopefully, at least a suggestion of interior...
I will second that proposal - a revamped Kangaroo with a bit more detail inside and out. The Ram had an Artillery Obs version that saw action in France 1944/45, so it would be neat if they matched.
It always jars a bit when you put two contrasting models of the same subject on the table.
Curious to know who decided to make a model of a RAM, a tank that never saw service, except as a training vehicle.
I feel a small sense of guilt/pride that I've been going on about it for months ;D

They were used as OP vehicles in NWE though probably only the later version.
The idea is to redo the kangeroo, its easier to start with the basic tank to do more conversions and for completeness. I do have 25 other masters awaiting more variations that we have not listed yet 8)

I will in that case add it to the back order list. There is a lot of fun in gaming late war Western Front. British tanks, if lacking armour, now have better guns, the Kangaroo is a very useful APC, and the Allied air superiority makes a level playing field of the Tigers and Panthers threat. You also get a neat mix of infantry types amongst the Germans which keeps things interesting.

Those wouldn't include the Churchill I would they?
If you want more vehicles that never saw action why not make...
The Churchill Kangaroo? An APC with six inches of frontal armour.
The Black Prince, basically a Churchill with a 17pdr gun.
The Tortoise, badass assault gun with a 32pdr(?) main armament.
Oooh! Steeleye! You dirty talking track-head you!
I love it when you talk Churchill variants.
