Title: 1688 an alternative history
Post by: Sandinista on 03 February 2016, 05:12:41 AM
I am starting a series of linked battles based on the 1688 Dutch invasion of England, only this time James doesn't run away.

First game was played using Pike & Shotte rules. Pictures and brief report on my blog http://kerikerigamer.blogspot.co.nz/ (http://kerikerigamer.blogspot.co.nz/)

Cheers
Ian

Excellent! Enjoyed the pictures and the read. For me one of the must interesting periods to game. I wonder has Churchill already turned to William or is that yet to come? I'll wait for the next episode  :)

A very good illustrated report and blog.  :-bd
Must try to dip into the blog in future. Are your rivers scratch built or commercially bought?

Scratch built, plywood with polyfilla & sawdust banks, rivers are painted and then covered with PVA

Nice job; tried the same thing myself some time ago - got James' lot completed but never got around to doing the other side!  Good to see this one.

A superb setup.   Very nice figures and excellent terrain.

Look forward to seeing more of these two armies.
