Hi,
last week at the club we played the Bemis Heights scenario (AWI) using a "A la guerre", a wargame ruleset for 1700 conflicts. The scenario is quite interesting since it portrays, for once, the americans on the offensive. We used a little semplification in the terrain reducing the density of the woods (which are the main feature of the terrain) and replaced the hessians with red shirts (unfortunately i have no 10mm hessians available atm).
The fight saw morgan's riflemen dislodge line and combined light battallions in the woods on the left of the american line, menacing to outflank the british. However the rebels main attack at the center was repelled by the artillery and musket fire from the hessian/british brigade. The Albany militia brigade didn't show up, so the americans had to waste time regruping the retreating units without having a fresh reserve at hand. At the end it was a british victory since the continentals didn't come even near to the redoubts that were their main objectives.
All the miniatures were pendraken, based on 3x3cm bases.

What a great looking game.
Looks superb!
Agreed. Good stuff! :-bd
Good report! Of course given your outcome - likely no French Alliance comes about and us'n's remain colonials! ;)
All of the above. 8)
Cheers - Phil
Good game
