If a woman gave me any of those stupid over-armoured, over-priced non-historical figures then that would be that. On the other hand, over the years I've had Mexican-American War, gendarmes and Spanish renaissance pike as well as various pieces of terrain for Christmas and birthdays, and one Valentine's I received a tiny pocket copy of Sun T'zu.

Well, working on building sites helped me to make terrain bits. I could just keep the prior experience info to myself, build a load of terrain and wow a woman with the resulting diy skills I'd 'picked up' from wargaming. Trouble is, I'm a bad liar  :)
