Title: Having a look at a new campaign - Belgium vs Italy in Ethopia
Post by: GrumpyOldMan on 14 January 2016, 01:31:07 AM
 Hello All

Excuse any spelling mistakes tip tapping on my phone.

Just having a look at this campaign http://www.ibiblio.org/hyperwar/UN/Belgium/Ethiopia/ (http://www.ibiblio.org/hyperwar/UN/Belgium/Ethiopia/) and I was wondering which of the WW1 East Africa figures would be best for the Belgian Force Publique and the Italian Eritrean Askaris?

Well I never knew about this conflict! What amazes me was just how big the Belgian Congo was :o. Good luck with this possible venture Grumpy.

Major regret is that there wasn't a major European punch-up in the Sudan after Omdurman.

Hello All

Thankjs for the replies.

I'm currently thinking of the early German Askaris for the Eritreans and using the KAR for the Force Publique (mainly for their shorts as opposed to the German trousers), might have to do some work on their fez. Looking around for force compositions now.

Will have a look for adobe card models on my hard drive when I get home.

petercooman - Thanks for the link

FK - Turn a regret into a positive with a 'What-If' campaign (I might now that you've put the idea into my head  :) )

Cheers
