Title: Horus Heresy boardgame
Post by: Kassad on 10 January 2016, 08:57:58 PM
Hi! A question to gentiles forum menbers: anyone have the game Horus Heresy from Fantasy Flight? I would to know if the game's pieces (space marines and the other infantry)are really 10mm scale. Thank you all!

They look to be different scales depending on the piece.

There is a photo on Boardgame geek comparing the space marines with epic ones - the game ones are a good bit bigger, and I would guess are around 10mm

The tanks look small - perhaps smaller than 6mm?

Found this comparison with a standard Space Marine.

The standard ones I have are just over 30mm tall. Which puts the titans at around 28mm, the marines at about 15mm and the cannonfodder  Imperial Guard at around 10-12mm. The tanks are a bit small even for Epic 40K 6mm.

Given the price of the game I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole anyway.

Somewhere I have the original Horus Heresy game from GW, I'll stick with that :)

The one that was a ton of tokens?

I still have that, and Doom of the Eldar.

Doom of the Eldar is the box above Horus Heresy in the "Board Game Tower of Death" - any attempt to remove a game from the stack risks the bold adventurer being killed by falling game boxes :)
