Sorry it did not work for you. I liked it a lot. Thus is life.
I've got this thing for plot in my drama.

Conversely I haven't been to see the movie and I don't plan to buy the video either.
It may well happen that I will possibly watch it in the years to come if I sit in front of my SKY TV for too long.
I can wait.
Good news all round then, its unlikely to be released on VHS.
=O =O =D> :-bd @ Clib!

Saw it, liked it but will buy DVD as I think 3D might have been a mistake for me.
I went to see it with my family. We all enjoyed it, a good action film, a nice family trip out and we will buy the dvd.
Did anyone spot Daniel Craig?
He was Stormtrooper JB-007. True. Check it out for yourself.
Something to look out for in the DVD, like spotting Stan Lee and Hitchcock in their films.
Quite enjoyed it, even though in a nutshell it was the Death Star Trench Run (from Ep.IV) combined with the wannabe Jedi searching for and finding a Master (from Ep V.) and the commando raid to disable the shields of DSII (Ep.VI).
My main complaint was that after all the hype, Captain Phasma did *cough! cough!*...... Not much.
Which one was captain Phasma?
Seen it multiple times. Its triumphant.

The one in silver stormtrooper kit!

Hmmm, Stan Lee is
never hard to spot.
Cheers, Martyn
TBH I missed him in The Incredible Spiderman and also in The Wolverine.

The whopping great Storm Trooper in all the chrome clobber :D Or, Brienne if you've watched Game of Thrones?
See what you mean. Thought she looked much more like Darth Vader than Solo's son. Maybe they're saving her up for the next outing. She is very good as Brienne.
I think it really was a poor film.
It builds up good then there is a real rythme problem.
SPOILERS ahead.
So : What if they didn't spend the whole movie telling us who Kylo Ren is and just brought us to the bridge scene without any info.
It would have been wonderful : "Wait, how does he knows hi name ? Wait, WTF ?"
Instead, it sounds like a film for mental challenged young children where they have to explain everything.
The scene with the hologram showing you how bigger the new super weapon is compared to the old one ? Really ? Some guy spend some time displaying an hologram to say : "Look, it is 10 times bigger than the old one ?"
The "aircraft' battles are nice but I really feel they raped my childhood.

Now THAT would have been awesome.
Wouldn't that then have been another rip-off from episode V - "No Han, I am your son!"
Seems like a bit of over analysis here! Only two questions need answering:
Was it like the first three picture made? Answer: Yes!
Was it like the second three pictures made? Answer: No!
Result! :D :D :D :D

No because the protagonists would have know, but not Rey and Finn and us.
It was a joke you know.
;)
Like all the second part of the film.
One of the major sin for me is the fact that they made the all new "cantina" with practival effects and the main character, Orange Yoda, with CGI : it is like the only CGI character in the middel of all the "real" stuff, it is ugly.
The more i think about this film, the more angry I become.
Calm down - it is impossible to please all the people......etc. At least we were spared Jaja Binks (Binx ?). Can't even remember the name - but who cares, it's just a bit of fun and keeps Disney flush.

Yousa no likin him messa thinkin....... ;D
Voice in a funny talk you?
There is nothing much wrong with the prequels, apart from a certain actor and fandom whining.
Anyone watch 'Once Upon A Time'? There are practitioners of light and dark magic. Users of light magic can be tempted to use dark magic, but it can have dire effects on their character. Now I wonder where that plot idea came from?

Pretty much every folklore with magic on the planet. Dark magic is more powerful but more dangerous, is a common theme. .
So now we know where Star wars got the idea as well.

I don't think there's anything
really original nowadays.....All the 'ideas' are variations of various themes from the past.

I liked it.
But, i approached it in the mindset of: nothing can be like the original ones.
If you look at it like that, it works.
I like that Tawa.
Always go into a movie thinking "This will be awful."
Then anything is better than your expectations!
It was okay, but not great. I will never see it again ;)
I have to say I liked it. A rip-roaring Space Opera romp, which was just what I wanted.
Nods to the old and a dash of new.
As to those complaining about things being samey - surely that's one of the main themes of the series, that people subject to very similar circumstances turn out very differently.
I rather like Han and Leia becoming the Space Opera equivalents of the ageing hippies who discover their son has joined the Conservative/ Republican* Party and become a merchant banker to boot! :)
Shame TR8-R bought it, time for a clone!
Personally, I'm looking forward to VIII and IX.

Well......
I've just watched the latest in the 'Terminator' series...(Yes...I know...I'm WAY behind the times.)
I wish I hadn't bothered with 'Genysis'...........Dreadful ! X_X
Cheers - Phil
If you are having trouble with "Genysis" this will clarify everything;
https://youtu.be/JXJiSZhA5cg
That makes it a lot clearer, Clib. :)
(That was more entertaining than the film itself !.... I'm steeling myself to watch the final third of that later.
In truth there doesn't seem to be much point. The way the story has been written, ANYTHING could happen .....and the scriptwriters would say....."Well, that makes perfect sense....doesn't it ?")
Suspension of disbelief ?.........Not this time.....Dearie, dearie me.
Cheers - Phil
