Very sad news, I loved Motorhead and Hawkwind when he played with them. I was introduced to the music when at school in the 70's. Below is a link to my favourite Lemmy era Hawkwind album - Hall of the Mountain Grill, play loud

Bomber was a favourite at the local disco that I used to help run. Sounded amazing as the sound of the engines moved slowly from one speaker to another.

'Rest In Peace' would not be a very good epitaph for the true King of Rock 'n Roll I guess but my oh my did he live life to the fullest :D
Raise your glasses, smooth sailing Lemmy!
Cheers,
Rob
One thing for ceratin the great rock band in the sky is going to have one hell of a jam session.

Very sad news indeed, a legend. :(
"You know I'm born to lose, and gambling's for fools
But that's the way I like it baby, I don't wanna live forever
And don't forget the Joker"
RIP
My first memory was the great single Silver Machine, but it wasn't till a few years later I found out that he was the vocalist. Had a few Motorhead lp's back in the day.
Another great passes to join the rockers in the celestial Hall of Fame.
Another great loss.
The neighbours got a rather loud dose of Motorhead as I came home earlier :D
RIP

"Ace of Spades" blasting out as I drove up the M6 last night.
We had a whole day of bombing around on Blues with Lemmy yesterday.
Tonight its going to be The Specials as we remember John Bradbury.
Sad week for the music industry indeed. I wonder how many of todays music makers will still be around or even remembered when they pop off :-\
Best tribute I saw yesterday....
Hahaha, excellent! Watched the documentary on his life again last night; what a man, what a wonderful human being!
Now I'm off to my little world of sadness; off to the vet the get one of our dogs put down :(
Cheers!
Rob
Hugs Rob
Awwww, Rob. :( :( :( :( :(
Deepest sympathies.

Seconded :( :( :(
Thanks folks, your support is much appreciated!
It's never an easy task but it's a responsibilty you have for your animals too beside feeding and walking them. He had a good last day and died nice and quiet in my arms. Burried him, went home had a meal and then two shots of whisky; one for the dog, one for Lemmy Kilmister.
And so we move on; we still have three dogs to keep us occupied and a stack of CD's to annoy the neighbours. ;)
Cheers,
Rob
Sucks losing a pooch. Sorry to hear it pal :(
