When I was in the SK in the mid-70's, a friend of mine went to a re-enactment of some period battle where they wore these uniforms. After the film was finished, the historian David Chandler had got hold of a number of them. I got to wear one before it was sent back and all I remember is that it was made of wool and with all the kit it was bl**dy heavy! Unfortunately, I don't have any pictorial evidence.
The perfect movie. :) (typing half-comatose in my hotel room. Venice takes it out of you, folks.)
