Title: Coach & Horses
Post by: Sandinista on 21 December 2015, 08:50:52 AM
My coach for the CinC of my LoA French army. This was  mostly painted by the talented Michael Sims of Mickeys Minis, I mottled the gold and gave the roof a coat of gloss, added windows/curtains and the red wheel rims.

cheers
Ian

Sweet!

Yeah, noticed the rail lines also - in the close-up it looks like tapestry - is it a game mat?

The railway lines are a paper print (Hornby I think). I bought a 6" x 4" board on ebay for a £1 the previous users child ran a model railway on it until he got bored. The batons on the underside are spaced perfectly to allow the whole thing to be propped up on 6 bookshelves, so I have a gaming table and storage in one. It also doubles up as a large work table and for gaming I throw a large painted felt cloth over it. A wonderfully cheap solution  :)

Cheers
Ian

Funny how this thread is Coach and Horses and my nearest pub is The Railway.

My nearest is the Homestead, typical kiwi pub sadly.

I liked the pub at my last home best....The Plough.
It barely took a minute , to walk there.

The last actual pub I was in, and possibly still the closest, was the Poacher's Pocket somewhere in Devon.
Met a fellow planning to take a motorcycle from NYC to the West Coast and back - in a week!
From that encounter alone I came to admire the English!
