I planned to go to the cinema for the new Star Wars ( Yes, it's already here in France :D Preview tonight, and public release tomorrow.)
But I will work tommorrow :'(
I hope thursday....
( I wanted to make you jealous :d )
;)
no time for SW, no time to game... I want to be in holiday..
Is there a film being released?
I was tempted to go and see it but the prices are well over £10 a ticket now and I'm far too tight for that!
:D

Admit it, you just want to watch it naked after playing the x box

I repeat the question. Is there a film being released?
If so I can probably wait until it appears on Sky and I have nothing better to do than watch (highly unlikely).
Who is this Solo Han anyway?
I've still not seen Episodes II or III anyway, so I should probably watch those first.

A champion warrior from early imperial China. Do I have to explain everything?
I'm afraid this leaves me completely cold, which shocks the younger generation at work.

Don't expect
too much.
Some of the 'acting' really let II down. (For me, anyway.)
Cheers - Phil
Was there acting in it Phil? I thought they were cardboard cutouts with dubbed voices :D.
I'm planning to go and see it some day but I'm not losing any sleep over it. The action and special effects look interesting so I probably won't be bored. Still; it will never be 'Alien'....
Bad thing of course is that even if it ain't no good I'll probably get sucked into some science fiction gaming project as soon as I get back home anyway :-<
Cheers,
Rob

Oh.....
That explains it !
I thought they were
trees, some of them were just
so wooden. X_X
(That's an insult to trees, quite frankly.)

I will wait for the blu-ray release.
From the title of this thread, I thought there was a new range released by Pendraken for one of those abbreviated wars that nobody can remember - "Hey, I've just downloaded a full OBB for WJE" (War of Jenkin's Ear). So, iput on my thinking cap and my contemplation codpiece and thought very hard about which was could be "SW". "Seven War" ... without the "years"? "Schleswig War"? Which one? "Syrian War" - very contemporary.
I'd never have guessed "Star Wars". Probably because the fatal blow was struck by the introduction of the Ewoks, and the good memory besmirched by Mr Binks and Co.
I have a friend who is Star Wars crazy, and I will probably have to go as his carer. (I know - FSN as the sensible one!) Anyway, from your comments it seems that the whole thing has been passed over to the good people at "South Park".
All this and Disney too! >:( >:( >:(

Simple answer to that Leon: DON'T!
Force awakens follows original films, so you don't need the repugnant episode 2&3!

Personally I thought Episode II was almost as good as IV and V. Ignoring the Ewoks silliness, Episode VI wasn't bad. Episode I was a kids' film and Episode III made absolutely no sense. A total moron could have sussed out that Palpatine was up to no good.
I saw a documentary on t'internet the other day where Lucas was quoted saying something along the lines of, "I made the films for kids its not my fault adults enjoy them."
Speaking as a bona fide Big Kid, I'm looking forward to seeing Star Wars: The Force Awakens on the big screen, alongside others of like mind and varying ages :)
To quote a friend of mine, "I'm as hyper as a seven year-old that's eaten enough sugar to be able to hear colours."....... :D :D :D
;D ;D ;D ;D yipee!!!

Are you talking about Nobby ?

my vest is singing Dancing Queen.
"These are not the films you are looking for ~ move along"
Watched episode IV with my kids the other night....thought it eas
quite dated compared to episodes I ~ III.

I Know. I will probbably be
conned asked by my two younger daughters (17 and 22) to go . So it will be three tickets to the cinema and either Sweets from Tesco/ Wilkinsons (I refuse to pay cinema prices) and/or food afterwards.
This is the cost of s divorced Dad to get "quality time" with his kids ;D
I thought SW refered to South Wales, and I thought that sounds fair enough. ;D ;D
There's lovely butty.
I am going to see it this weekend, booked a family ticket for four for £24, not too bad although we will nip into Tesco's first for our popcorn or whatever. I think I am the most excited to be going, my daughters (13 + 14) are reasonably interested and the wife is keen to see Harrison Ford again!
Again? Thought you would have nipped that in the bud.
But it is only an on screen romance. Plus the force is stronger in me than Harrison Ford.
You'll have to be re-monickered 'Sonny Jim.'
