I'll probably be online right the way through the holidays anyway, but, Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year to all! :D
G_d Speed, Fierce!
Joyous Noel to all!
You've made my first week here memorable
Tis a strange and wonderful place the land of Pendraken. And for another piece of Christmas cheer, whilst creating my wargames room I had to shift a bookcase, and lo and behold, there behind it, snuggly sheltering, were three packs of pristine Pendraken figures for the SYW. Hqw good is that!
Bit of a blank spot there Dazza
Went to the dentist yesterday for the second session of my annual bit of torture (she's very attentive to her profession!).
Just got in the door, hadn't even plonked me backside into the big chair, and I'm being asked if I'm feeling festive?
Now I'm thinking does the answer I provide reflect on the level of pain I'm soon to experience? (and that's while she's just looking around my mouth!)
Anyway, I says "No", I didn't suffer no more than usual, but I don't think the question had any influence on her thoroughness (these European dentists are all very hands-on and thorough!), as I'm then given a questionnaire where the first question I'm asked is whether I'm pregnant!
I should have wrote 'Yes. It's a Christmas miracle!' :D
[of note: since my old English dentist retired some years ago I've been seen by several, excellent European (and one Indian) female dentists, and also one sadistic Welshman. I prefer the foreign dentists! They're better looking for one]

Yup! Better than found money!
You're doing way better than me - I have several sticks of primed Pendrakens in plain sight and can't remember what I was doing with them.
Enjoy the season
I reckon they were hidden away when LeWoman was on the prowl.

I play Dentist Bingo when I go. I don't think I've had the same one twice in the last 5 years.
Perhaps it's me? :-\

As a foreigner myself I ask this question in all innocence with no disrespect intended to anyone:
I take it then that the English do not consider the Welsh foreign?
As to dentists - I'm from West Virginia :D
Have a festive holiday RW :)

Nope, same applies in the dentist I use on Catterick Garrison.
WelshmanPolishColonel in the British Army (I forgot about her - don't know why she was in a civvie clinic, mind. Unless she'd recently retired and still used her rank, which is fair enough)
Same
Polish womanIndian (temp. dentist - it was an emergency appointment)
Dutch. She sent me to hospital - with a mucous cyst - where I saw an Indian, or Bangladeshi doctor
Spanish (last two times)
The Welsh dentist left for whatever reason, and the Polish dentist left as she received a better offer elsewhere in the UK (possibly partnership in a practice, if memory serves me correct? She was an excellent dentist so it was a bit of a loss to not been treated by her any more)

Nope. Not me, at least. My paternal ancestry is Welsh. I'm a bit of an English mongrel, with all manner of British nationalities making up my blood and both main denominations of religion thrown in for good measure.
Seasons Greetings and all that, too d_guy
Technically I'm an Englishman, being born on the Wirral, which is now mostly part of Merseyside. I was schooled in Wales, where I learnt to speak Welsh, and my ancestry is English, Welsh, Scots, Dutch and Turkish.
According to the dna tests:
Anglo-Welsh on one side.
Anglo-Norwegean/Viking on the other!
Also a Merry Christmas from me. Have been ultra busy, thus not here often :-[ .
See you all 2016, I hope.

Given my interest in the Celtic Fringe I think it is fantastic that the languages of the different regions are being taught and preserved!
Me - I'm still learning "English", but this board is helping.
I am impressed that you speak Welsh, good on you.

For many of us here MP was our first exposure to various forms of "English" and British humor in general.
We were all - like was said else where - WTF! :D

You know what they say about stoking the boiler.
Can I add a serious Christmas wish to all those at Pendraken?
I think I can speak for all, when I say that we, the sixpences in the Pendraken Christmas pud, thank you very much for what you do. Your output is phenomenal, your customer service is superb and you retain that humanity of a family business. We appreciate that you do long hours (except Leon who seems to be having days off nearly every week now) for little enough reward. So, thank you for what you do.
We hope you all have a very happy Christmas, and enjoy a proper break away from the furnaces.
And we also hope you have a damn good laugh at all this tomfoolery. <:-P
Both seconded =D> =D> =D>

Merry Christmas to everyone on the forum, hope you got all you wished for, I know I did!! :) Lovely day here up in the far North, just back from a walk with the dog and it's like a spring day, great stuff!!
Merry Xmas everyone!
Got me a 14" rail gun from my brother, plus some other Pendraken goodies!
Happiness is!
All the best everyone. Seasonny Salutations and all that jazz.
(As you can tell I really got into the festive mood - It was just another day to me :( )
If we're talking about hobby stuff received, here's my list:
Santa didn't bring me anything. I did receive some money off family, so that may end up being spent on the hobby in January.
I did receive two Secret Santa gifts (I entered two blog events).
1) £15 worth of stuff: I received four Peter Pig ACW Naval models.
2) £5 worth of stuff - but painted: I received a (Old West) pianist and piano model, which I'll use to part populate a 4Ground building for games of Dead Man's Hand.
