A few photos of last night's game - the clash at Kutzdorf (not a band gig in Germany)

Very nice indeed !

Good stuff (as always). :-bd
Now that you have had two games of Honours of War DP, how does it compare to others (e.g., Maurice)?

Yes he is. Poor lad had just had another horrible day at the office. Playing the game cheered him up no end.
Honours of War is a really neat, compact game that plays very easily. Reminiscent of Black Powder and with some very good thinking behind it. Rules layout VERY easy to find you way around and games easily playable in an evening.

Great report Dave. I have put the written AAR on the HoW website. Will be moving on to Spittelwitz soon, but meanwhile it's back to St.Ulrich for another newcomer to the rules. This time the outnumbered Prussians will hold the bridge whilst being attacked by an aggressive Austrian army. To make the game more straightforward the commanders will be made dependable.
Some great pics there that really show off 10mm wargaming 8).
Played some really fun Jacobite games with HoW recently; some great comedy moments with overwhelming Highland forces being led by dithering commanders against Government militia as the march to Derby and beyond occurred. Finally being stopped at the gates of Westminster by the Duke of Cumberland and his professional army.
Now that does sound like fun.
The Jacobite games and campaign were indeed fun. I highly recommend giving them a go as time permits. Plenty of 'what if?' opportunities as well.
Will be able to do that as another club member, who is very generous about loaning his figures, has a Pendraken British and Jacobite army. It will be interesting to see how a Jacobite game from the '45 pans out using HoW.
Quote from the BBC production:
"This is grapeshot, and this is what it does."
"What if" my dithering commanders actually managed to make the Highlanders move forwards and not sideways :-\

That's just pure fantasy Dave ;) :D
