SYF6 Grenadier foot march attack w/o tirnbacks. Bearskin or mitre?
I need grenadiers in bearskin for my Spanish WAS army.
Also, would foreign regiments in French/Spanish service in WAS have turnbacks or not?
Spent hours online & still can't find out so any help (particularly with sources) would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,

.I have an ancient copy of Pengel and Hurt's book on french foreign regiments of the seven years war, which I will look out tomorrow morning. It may have nothing useful, but if they are still full coated at the start of the SYW the you can pretty well guarantee they were so uniformed in the WAS. A demain.

Those figures are in the bearskin, as are the Austrian grenadiers I think.
Ian,
Do you have the booklet on the Spanish WAS army - https://www.caliverbooks.com/bookview.php?dcde9cc59ebbaf1bca6785d3ecb49c00&id=4142&subcatcode=E&subcatno=28 (https://www.caliverbooks.com/bookview.php?dcde9cc59ebbaf1bca6785d3ecb49c00&id=4142&subcatcode=E&subcatno=28)
It is a good basic guide.
Going by that I would use Austrian SYW grenadiers as the Spanish had turnbacks and the hat looks Austrian style to me - bearskin with a bag.
The foreign Spanish units have turnbacks - they are standard for the Spanish. I agree with mollinary and I think French would be no turnbacks like the rest of the army.
