Title: ACW draft horses
Post by: maciek on 24 November 2015, 10:38:06 AM
Is there more than one pose of draft horses in new ACW line (or elsewhere) ?

The draft horses are all the same pose unfortunately, the only difference is that some of them have more baggage on them, or slightly different harnesses.

These are the horses for the wagons and limbers:

Actually you could mix the limber and the covered wagon horses to get two poses if you like! 3 if you can use the one with a rider!

There are also the unridden horses for use on dismounted cavalry bases, wich could be used as standing horses if you want:

I just used them to make dismounted horse markers (on the left)

I also have a ww 2 limber, with some slightly different horses so maybe other ranges are usefull too:

The type of harness is different as you can see.

If its just a case of being in the same position, put the horse/s in very hot water for a minute and then the metal is soft enough to gently bend

Especially the heads are easily bent to the sides with a pair of pliers; wrap the head in a bit of cloth first to avoid scratches/dents.
Front legs can be bent as well if need be; but I wouldn't advice trying to bend the rear legs...

Cheers,
