Title: Greek "Successor Army" - which figures
Post by: Last Hussar on 05 September 2010, 02:55:36 AM
I've foolishly promised a painted Successor army to my son for Christmas.  He wants it for warmaster - we like the Phalanx, elephants and Cataphracts.

Does GRE11 have a pike? If so - How long.
Is AP6 Sassanid Cataphracts suitable?  Ditto the Carthiginian elephants
Any Camels?

The GRE11's are empty handed, so you'll need some wire for them.  I'm not sure on the suitability of the others, I'll have to have a look, unless anyone else knows?

Carthaginian elefant may work if you can change the crew with macedonian pikemen. I'm not sure about Sassanid cataphracts because the 1/2 horse armour are a late Sassanid thing, early cataphracts are supposed to be fully armoured (if I remember correctly), but you can go with it anyways if you are not much purist.

Try with the Late Roman Cataphracts, nice figures!

He changed his mind after I posted this.  Mark - I can do a British Army, as long as you don't mind red tricorns, boots, faces...
