Having a great night tonight celebrating my daughter winning her Ph.d. <:-P <:-P <:-P
Only worry is that both daughters are due to fly out to Paris tomorrow.
Sorry (but yet not sorry) for blowing my own trumpet - but so proud of my daughter (I'm sure other fathers will understand).
"Winning"?
Yep. Probably should have simply said "getting." But given how life can be s*** at times, she worked so hard and so, somehow, it feels like .... victory ..... like the smell of napalm in the ... :)
Well done her.
Hopefully the borders open soon, feelings go out to all those affected by the events.
Well done Marchette!
Borders are repoprted only closed outgoing, appreciate that you are very concerned.
Suspect that Paris will be one of the safestr cities in europe for next few days
Banzai!
Understand the sentiment but not sure thats the most appropriate comment tonight FK
The Presidents says borders are now fully closed both ways, confusingly they also say that the Airports and Trains will run as normal
Look up what it means.
<:-P <:-P <:-P
Well done young Miss Westmarcher.
Just goes to show that with hard work and a passport, your can outgrow the hinderances of your parents. :P
Sympathise entirely with the sentiment WM. One is sometimes prouder of the achievements of our children than of our own.
Thank you one and all for your kind words and indulgence.
Congrats to her and I'm sure you're all very proud.

Well done Marchette!
I think that ought to be her name from now on. The other daughter out to be called "Westie".
Or does that sound too much like a small dog? - FSN
Congratulations to your daughter <:-P <:-P <:-P
