Any examples of the SYW Prussians? Especially what is the difference between March and March attack?
A assume SYP3 - Advancing is horizontal at waist height and Port is held diagonally across the chest.
Also where is the command - usually 10 lots of 3; Officer, Standard, drummer
If Leman see this, I'm sure he can provide photos. In the meantime, looking at my own, March pose is right foot forward with musket (without bayonet?) resting on right shoulder at the slope. However, I see Pendraken now offer a "Tricorn foot marching musket left hand" in addition to simply "Tricorn foot marching." March Attack pose is left foot forward with musket upright (with bayonet and pointing vertically) at right shoulder (most of mine are in that pose). Unfortunately, I can't comment on the other poses. For example, I also have a few figures with musket levelled at waist height, standing left foot forward not advancing but bought mine yonks ago when standard packs included 3 command (Officer, Standard bearer, Drummer) so can't remember what pose that was. Leon / Dave used to provide extra Command on request.
There's a post with pictures of all the SYW poses here: http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,2510.msg21270.html#msg21270 (http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,2510.msg21270.html#msg21270)
Just been put out of a job, but here's Frederick just to keep everyone happy.

EDIT: Pic resized.
Sorry to hear that Leman. Seems a bit rude to ask further questions!
You okay chap?
I think (hope?) he means that Leon's post pre-empted him answering the question as requested? :-\

I hope so, too !
Cheers - Phil
Assuming that is what he meant...
Where's the Prussian Command on the Site?

I'm currently working on a Prussian SYW army and, to maintain
that cliched image of order and regularity, will be sticking to this
pose for all the infantry.
Cheers,
Phil
Let's try it this way.
Dear Leon.
I can't give you money for #1 son's Christmas present until I can find the command that goes with SYW Prussians.

Would "SYW Misc" do the job ?

The command is included in the infantry packs, so a pack of march attack infantry would be 27 foot, 1 officer, 1 standard, 1 musician. Same goes for the cavalry as well, so 12 + 3 command figures. There's a few anomalies, grenadiers, jagers, etc which might have less command figures. We can provide extra command if you need them as well.
Hmmm... Going to have to have a basing rethink with him - I was going to suggest to him 6 and 30, like my WSS.
Lets see - that would be 2 ranks of 15.
5 x (3x2)
25mm bases for BP
That works. Depends if he wants 2 standards per bn, but there is the Generic standard bearers.
Could do 4 x 30mm bases 4x2 men, one base only having 3 in the rear rank.
I'll have to message him and see what he was thinking.
Almost there.
32 man units on 4 bases.
So a pack of generic standard bearers - thats the 31st man.
You supplied Sunjester and me with officers for 'First Fire' markers. How easy would it be to get a dozen of them? I'm suggesting he does a core army of 8-10 foot, 6-8 horse, plus guns and generals. We'll start with the foot for Christmas.
Oh 'eck, hope I didn't cause too much kerfuffle. What I meant was not much point putting up loads of photos when the previous post had done such a good job. Thankfully I was put out of my real job four years ago and paid reasonably well for the privilege. In a couple of years the government will hopefully contribute further to my wargaming enjoyment.

Glad to hear that this hadn't just happened

Never did mate. Took voluntary redundancy and one year early retirement at the same time. Could have lived off the redundancy for that year, but had an expensive divorce to pay for.

Think I took the same scheme - VERS - Voluntary Early Retirement Scheme. Certainly worked for me!
