I was wondering if anyone had seen any of the Deepcut Studios sci-fi themed terrain cloths in the flesh, so to speak?
I'm currently eyeing up their City Ruins theme in 3ft x 3ft, but am concerned the crater might be a bit large.

My mate has the 6x4 ones, they are great, but the craters are BIG!
Thanks. That was my concern. Think I might do for the wasteland theme or get the desert one and reuse it for WWI Palestine.

The crater on the 3' x 3' City Ruins map looks to be about 4"-6" in diameter. Big enough for figures to take cover in but small enough to be lost under a terrain piece if not wanted.
I'd love to get several of these but can't justify the cost.

Oh, decisions, decisions...
- Neil.
I've got a 6x4' mousemat quality one and it is exceptionally good. I've heard the vinyl ones crack.
I'm looking at the cloth ones as I want to lay them over terrain features. Already decided on a fields one for AVBCW/Operation Sealion, and was going to get a desert one for Palestine, at some point, so it's just the sci-fi decision outstanding. Seeing as my sci-fi forces may actually be the first to be table-ready, it might become the important decision.

One of my gaming mates as a cloth one in the steppe pattern (grass with occasional rocks). And its really nice. Goes well over hills.
There is enough pattern that it helps blend scatter terrain in very nicely.
What is the benefit of the mouse mat ones? I can't quite work out what benefit having this material gives, but they seem popular so I assume I am missing something?
No risk of slippage I presume. Just like the Wings of Glory ones. They work really well if you like your terrain features on top.
