Finished the basing on some more d&d models yesterday, nothing special, just steady progress!

Nice
Wot Will said.
(But I just LOVE the way you've made the wraiths and hypnotic spirits look so ethereal.....What colours have you used to achieve that, Peter ?)
Cheers - Impressed of Wales. :-bd
Very nice indeed
Take care

Well, they come molded in clear blue plastic, so i only drybrushed the colours on lightly, so the transparent blue colour of the plastic 'shines' through, giving a nice effect!
I'm thinking about putting a small led under the base, to light them up actually :-\ :-\
Nah. The great art of art is to conceal art, remember. Those spectres look just right. Don't paint the lily.
I like all of these figures, good work!
Are these plastic pre-paints, or metal figures?
Really nice stuff :)

bare plastic actually, you can get them prepainted, but not in the boardgames. They do use some of the same molds as the prepainted d&d stuff, so easy to expand with those.
for example; these are the ravenloft minis

If I had infinite funds, I'd be very tempted by the boardgames for a/ the mini's, and b/ those nice dungeon tiles...

I have all 4 of them, if you ever give in to temptation, get the latest one first, temple of elemental evil.
Has a nice campaign system (for a boardgame that is), and some nice minis. Unless you hate elementals off course! Can be used to retrofit the campaign into the former games. If you aren't going to play the games, choose your theme and buy that!
The elemental evil tiles have spots on them to put trap tokens though, much better than the previous ones, where you draw a card and suddenly a trap appears. With the tokens you know something is there but don't know what. half the tokens are empty spots, the other half do damage, so you can choose to disable a trap token, or take your chance and trigger it. If you take your chance and hit a 4 damage fire trap with your 6 hp wizard, you'll be cursing though :P

There's some handy stuff there, doubly so if those "monsters" are duplicated.
Cool, looks really good.
I bought into Mantics dungeons saga kickstarter in a big way last summer, which should be delivered very soon. So can't be looking st another dungeon game soon.

Everything under "monsters" is X3 in the box.
Everything under 'villains' and 'heroes' is X1 in the box
Handy! I've been tempted by Descent before as well for similar reasons; especially the big monsters...
One of my gaming buds has descent, bloody nice figs!!!
They are, all the components are very nicely put together.
And for the amount of figures and their size it's not a bad buy, but it's still too pricey for me!
