(Yellowed or not.)
I confess that I have been doing some non-Pendraken stuff recently. I've been immersed into 1:600 aircraft and ships. This weekend, I've been painting 18 Flying Fortresses. The paint job is easy (all over olive green) but I'm getting really hacked off with decals. Even with the USAAF only putting insignia on on wing, there's a minimum of 6 decals per aircraft - 114 decals in all.
They're fiddly, infuriating and time consuming.
I'm getting to hate them.
More than painting horses.
Having said that, the modified Lego basing (thanks BJM) works wonderfully.
BTW. Does anyone have any thoughts on nose art?
Dom's Decals do it for B17's, and even I can do shark mouths by hand.

Dom did nose art in 1/300 but he stopped producing that set some time ago.
Can't find any. :(
Perhaps I'll just have to be very strict with the crews and disapprove of nose art.
How big is the area you're trying to 'pretty up', Nobby ?
We ought to be able to come up with some 'cheats' that look good.
Cheers - Phil

Pity about that. The B-17 examples in Fat Wally's blog might have done the trick (see link).

Could try contacting Kevin (of Fat Wally) and ask?
