Wait a minute. Isn't Chester near Runcorn?
I loved the one about the men who had lost the will to live ;D.
Loved it. Chester is a bit up itself, so it's doubly funny.
I'm reminded of this real one

;D ;D ;D =D> =D>
That one made Mrs W. laugh out loud too, Ithoriel.
Steve J - the shopping one was my favourite too - I assume you've also been of these guys?
I like their excuse!
People could be offended by them?
Really only people who would be offended are the council.
Like !
(Sean....Is your piccy upside down ?)
Cheers - Phil

What about an Oik? :D
You called?
I suppose the best one can say is that the pranksters are at least providing work for the humourless officials that seem to fill most council positions these days, otherwise those sorry arses might have to sleep on said benches themselves. If you have a country that boasts free speech, then be prepared to be offended once in a while.
I suspect its because the council charge to put actual plaques on the bench, so having the false one means they are losing revenue!
